Holiday cookies are A BIG DEAL in my family. My grandmother would start baking in late October, making dozens of cookies of all kinds - cutouts with lemon icing, pfeffernüsse, and of course gingerbread - and carefully stack them in between wax paper in giant glass jars that she kept for just this purpose. My grandpa's sweet tooth was famous, so she had to make enough to make sure there would still be some by the time the actual holidays came around! And while no one can make pfeffernüsse like NeeNee did, my mother's gingerbread cookies still warm my heart every year, because I can taste the generations of love in every bite.
Sadly, this is the last year for this version of our Gingerbread Cookies soap, as the fragrance oil manufacturer has discontinued the fragrance. But don't worry, we're already on the search for a new one. ^_^
